Emperiums and monsters spawned in castles have been disabled to provide security against bypassing the inactive WoE (you could still get the castle after breaking the Emperium even if the WoE was disabled). This is a preparation for the castle dungeon rental system (it will take some time to test implement and test it). Thanks @Valorian for reporting this.

Discord has been cleaned up from Vintara Arena and it and is not emphasised anymore. The testing server is still up and running, and will be used for the same purpose all the time. It's still possible to switch between servers by using "settings" button in the new patcher.

Gacha NPC is now available in Comodo. Spend 1 Vintara Coin for 3 attempts, each giving a random reward: costumes, food, elemental converters, mystery boxes (including OCA), and consumables. Candy is the most common reward (essentially "try again"). Costumes have a 20% drop rate per attempt, expect at least one costume per 2 coins (6 attempts). Drop rates for other items are undisclosed.
Seasonal Rotation: Costumes rotate monthly (seasons may rotate faster as more are added). Only costumes change between seasons, other rewards remain constant.
Season 1 features 12 cat-themed headgears. Future seasons can follow specific themes, suggestions are welcome.

Vintara Nitro channels have been removed from the discord to avoid more confusion related to names/server types.
Curse of Gaebolg quest (prerequisite for Nameless Island entrance quest) seems to be scattered around 13.1 episode quests (which has been recently disabled) and Dandelion's Request quest (also 13.1 content), so Sharp-looking Boy, who provided entrance for Marijana NPC, was disabled along with it. All is fixed now and the Curse of Gaebolg quest can be continued.

Introducing the most unconventional identity service in Yuno – meet Sage Flushworth, who will permanently change your character name (1M Zeny + 2x Vintara Coin) from his "office" next to a toilet, in Yuno Interior (yuno_in03, 154, 69), Sage Academy.

You may see names like Vintara Nitro around. This is preparation for yet another separate server focused on pvp/woe, maintained by @freeqs. Things are still in progress and please contact @freeqs in case of Vintara Nitro. Initially prepared separate text channels like nitro-information and nitro-general.

Episode 12 Compliance Update: Following community feedback (special thanks to @Vesper for promoting balanced gameplay), we've identified and corrected Episode 13.1/13.2 items that were incorrectly available in Episode 12 server. A total of 23 mob drops across 22 monsters (including several MVPs) have been adjusted to maintain episode-appropriate content.

Player Compensation: Any players who obtained the above Episode 13+ items before this update will find their items automatically converted to the updated drops in their inventories, carts, and storage. This ensures fair treatment while maintaining episode integrity.
Patcher Improvement: New version now available featuring streamlined single-file updates, eliminating previous update issues. The patcher now displays your current server connection and no longer requires a full game update to enable the PLAY button. A new welcome message appears on first launch. I recommend checking for updates periodically, especially when noted in this changelog.

New patcher version 20251001180300 now includes welcome message and few improvements under the hood. It is also prepared for future improvements like handling single files. Also background image has been changed- thanks Maggy for beautiful artwork!

Homunculus and Mercenary has been tweaked to provide better autoloot and xp management, this means: after period of 30 seconds of being idle when using hom/merc, the autoloot and xp gain will turn off until a player makes an action (uses skill, moves, uses item). This is to prevent idle xp/item farming with homunculus/merc.

Mavka's loot drop rate has been nerfed (Crystal Mirror and Witherless Rose) to prevent out-of-the-scale zeny farming. Current settings allow to farm around 7500 zeny per Mavka if those are killed in bulks.

Taming monsters (Monster Capture) is now fixed. It was rAthena bug that is not fixed in the official repo. The whole system still requires a little bit adjusting – for example, you can't cancel the taming and retrieve the item back. Once the item is clicked, it is used, so please tame your pets carefully. When the spinning machine is displayed, before you click on it, make sure you are standing very close to the mob. If the mob moves away further than 5 cells, the whole process will fail and you will lose the taming item. This is something that requires further implementation I'll do later.
You don't need a party of 5 people anymore to access Thanatos Tower 3rd+ floors. A group of 2 temps can enter higher floors now.
Bowling Bash demi gutter bug fixed, now it should work properly.

For some reason, Monster Capture system doesn't let you capture pets! (it always fails). Please restrain from catching pets this until I fix it. Sorry for the trouble!
Lightalzen, Hugel, Rachel, Einbroch, Einbech and Yuno are now memo-able.

Utan Shaman is now more user friendly when it comes to dialogues. No need to go through it every time you want to downgrade elemental stones or create ores, now you can downgrade/create 50 of them at once.
All Rough oridecon/elunium refiners are more user friendly, you can purify those ores in bulk now, up to 20 pieces.

The unique stat/skill reset NPC has arrived! You can find the "Keeper of Cycles" in Gonryun on a small floating island. This NPC utilizes progressive pricing based on level thresholds and reset count, each level range has 3 tiers of cost. Ask him about the transformation details to learn the complete pricing system! This is the first NPC that utilizes Vintara Coins as payment. Maximum 3 resets possible per character lifetime with global reset tracking.

New NPC in payon named "Settings" can now save you the hassle of turning @autoloot or few other commands everytime you log in, as they now can be saved per acc.
New patcher version 20250913082340 just dropped. Fixed applying the newest package (it was always treated as broken and required manual repait each time, because the manifest updated after downloading the file). Also added simple download meter and cancel button when downloading.

[Vintara Online]: Niflheim now offers private Dead Branch rooms! You need a party (even with a single person) to enter. After you, as a leader of the party, rent the room, all members of you party can enter until the time is expired. You can extended the time when you're inside the room for 30 minutes, but only once. There are 3 separate rooms to rent to ensure you have enough space to fiddle with branches. This is an unique feature made from scratch. Have fun!

There was server crash during night, at 1am, after 68 days of uptime. The crash was due to lack of RAM while making a backup and linux killed the process. The server/website is hosted on a simple VPS and the amount of new NPCs/scripts/tasks increases gradually. I have changed memory allocation for mysql, so it should not happen again, but if you notice some unusual behaviour of the game like unusual lags, please let me know – I will upgrade the server if this is its limitation and move it to better plan with OVH. Again, sorry for the trouble and let me know of any issues you find regarding this!

[Vintara Online]: Dead Branches and Bloody Branches are blocked until I figure out how to make DB rooms/instances. All maps have been cleared from foreign mobs. You can feel safe at pay_fild01 again! If you however have the urge to use branches, I can manually adjust some not popular maps.

[Vintara Arena]: Added Punching Bags, now you can test your DMG on Demi-Human immortal NPCs (look for them in south-eastern area in Prontera).
[Vintara Arena]: Moved kafra near prontera fountain, now you can save your savepoint there.
Once again, had to change the client GRFs because of the incompatibility and issues with certain maps, please re-download it. Sorry for the trouble.
